Shalakya Tantra is the subject consisting three subdivisions-

1. Netra roga vigyan (Ophthalmology)
2. Karna-Nasa- Kanth-Shiro roga vigyan (ENT)
3. Mukh & Dant roga (Detistry).

These specialties having some different methods of treatment known as Kriyakalp, like (Tarpan, Ashyotana, Seke, Pindi, Bidalaka, Nasya, Karnapoorna, Karnaprakshalana, Shirodhara, Shrobasti) local application of medicine at the site of disease along with systemic administration as well as different types of surgeries like Cataract, Pterygium, Chalazion, Septum surgery, Tonsillectomy, Endonasal DCR, Auroplasty, Removal of foreign bodies from eyes, nose, ears, throat.

Our Institute running Under Graduate course as B.A.M.S. since 1989 and Post Graduate Degree course as M.S. Shalakya Tantra (Ayurveda Dhanvantari) since 2006. Existing Post Graduate dept having- on going- 04 P.G. research project and P.G. progress into IInd year of M.S. Shalakya.Our Institution celebrating Silver Jubilee year in 2008.

In our department we are doing scientific researches in all three subdivisions of Shalakya Tantra. In Shalakya department of the Hospital which is attached to Institute having well maintained separate O.P.D., Operation theatres & Wards for all the subdivisions.
